Elizabeth Cozzocrea

LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Elizabeth Cozzocrea is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over two decades of experience working with tweens/teens, adults and families.  As a therapist, Elizabeth has supported individuals with behavioral challenges, extreme psychosocial stressors, varying mental health diagnoses, trauma, and alike.  Elizabeth believes when people gain a deeper understanding of themselves, the process opens the door for change.  This shift promotes healthy relationships with others, regulated emotions, improved distressed tolerance, and a new found sense of balance.

Elizabeth has extensive training in therapeutic modalities such as Collaborative Problem Solving, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  She has effectively utilized these therapies, along with complimentary modes of treatment.  By focusing on empowerment, self-expression, and hope, she centers her practice on self-determination with a strengths based perspective.

Elizabeth earned a B.S. in psychology and a Master’s Degree of Social Work from Portland State University, Oregon. Following her graduate studies, Elizabeth returned to her home state of New York where she lives today with her husband and two children. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, lengthy road trips, and spending time with her family and friends – all while listening to the Dave Matthews Band, of course.
