Marni Phillips, LCSW, earned a B.A. in Sociology from The University of Michigan and a Masters degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University. With ten years of clinical experience at an inpatient psychiatiric hospital in New York, five of those years served as a Program Director, Marni brings a wide scope of experience to Riverwalk. She has extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving and brings a trauma informed lens to her practice.
Marni specializes in treating adults, adolescents, couples and families. She recognizes that by the time someone reaches out for therapeutic support, issues have likely been simmering for some time and there is a tremendous need for relief and peace. Marni believes that a warm, supportive therapeutic relationship creates an environment to accomplish shifts in perspective that can lead to a lasting, positive impact on the quality of life. Marni has a compassionate, humorous style that facilitates the gut level honesty necessary for change work.
In her free time, you will find Marni with the windows rolled down, the radio up, singing along loudly to whatever her four sons are listening to.
