COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT)

CBT focuses on identifying, understanding, and changing thinking/behavior patterns. With committed practice and completing “homework” assignments between appointments, benefits are usually seen in as soon as 12 to 16 weeks. Several of our therapists are specially trained in Trauma-based CBT which uses CBT methods to specifically address issues surrounding past trauma.

DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY (DBT)

DBT, developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan, was originally created to help patients struggling with self-harm urges and who have difficulty regulating and/or dealing with their emotions. Rather than only focusing on overcoming misery, DBT also emphasizes creating a life you want to live. DBT has been found to be especially helpful for individuals with issues such as cutting, eating disorders, and substance abuse.

IFS is a comprehensive therapy appropriate for individuals, couples and families. MINDFULNESS BASED THERAPIES

A group of psychotherapies that help patients increase present-moment awareness, acceptance, compassion and equanimity while decreasing unhelpful thoughts such as judgment, reactivity, and rumination. It is particularly helpful for individuals suffering from depression and anxiety, but is currently a promising treatment modality that continues to expand its applications into many areas and as an adjunct to other therapies.

Yoga Therapy uses “asana” or postures with a focus on breath and meditation to nurture a profound mind-body connection for self-healing.
