NOTE: Colleen is currently on a year long teaching/training sabbatical and is not seeing patients in the office. She will be returning in mid - 2019. If you are currently a patient of hers, please discuss this with her directly.


Colleen Rogan, LCSW comes to the Riverwalk Group with a B.S. in Psychology from Northeastern University and Masters in Clinical and International Social Work from Fordham University. She has also completed a post master’s program at NYU in trauma informed play and family therapy.


Colleen has been in the field for almost 10-years and in that time, has made a name for herself in adolescent and family care. She has worked in mental health clinics serving children, adolescents and families, The UN, Mount Sinai Hospital, and one of the largest non-profit agencies in New York providing individual and family therapy. Colleen has also worked as the Assistant Vice President of a family therapy program at The New York Foundling Hospital and as a consultant to clinicians and their supervisors in specific evidenced-based family treatment models. In these roles, she has also become versed in and incorporates into her practice parts of a variety of treatment modalities such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Family Functional Therapy, Mindfulness, Client Centered Therapy, Psychoanalysis, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems and trauma informed work. Colleen has most recently moved into another role at The New York Foundling Hospital as a Senior Advisor within their Implementation Support Center and is consulting nationally and internationally with other agencies and governments to help implement evidenced-based treatment models into their systems. This work is fulfilling a personal mission to change the mental health care that the under-served receive and deserve, throughout the world.


At Riverwalk Colleen works with children through play therapy, adolescents, families and adults and together with her colleague, Jodi Costenbader, PhD, provides an integrative approach to couple’s therapy.


Colleen enjoys tennis, paddle boarding and running in her spare time and is an avid traveler. She is excited to be a part of the Riverwalk Group as part of her career and life journey.
